WHO WE ARE & WHERE WE COME FROM:
We were once a highly respected group of role players from the online game World of Warcraft ( Back during the early years when reputation meant something). We are best known as the RP guild Wretched Souls from the realm Earthen Ring. The story we are presenting here is nothing like the meager storylines of Azeroth. The world of Arthavia is, in actuality, the rebirth of another world that predates Azeroth altogether. Its original name was Aron, and it existed only on paper during a tabletop AD&D gaming session back in the late 1980s. The paper maps hung upon the den wall of our (late great) DM, Paul Clark Jr. The regions of the world were drawn on graph paper, one sheet at a time. But as life would have it. We all took to our families and the needs of our growing children, and the world of Aron drifted away piece by piece into oblivion.
Our history- Continued.
...It was gone but never forgotten. A couple of years before our DM passed away, I took the liberty to go and visit him ( never knowing it would be the last time). The years had passed so that he didn't even recollect who I was until I told him. We spoke briefly about the old days, and he made mention how he hoped to one day write the adventures we all shared in the world of Aron. But alas--he passed. However, I never forgot the wonderment that his world brought, and so when it came time that the RP spark in WOW was fading fast... I decided to reimagine our characters and start anew. And I reimagined the world of Aron-- now named Arthavia. All of our works and deeds contained within this site are solely dedicated to Paul Clark Jr and all of our (online) comrades who have touched our lives and helped us to forge the rebirth of our new world. ~ Lady Syvbia
