Well, I don't know about that, but I do know that if you get a few pussy cats beneath your feet and treat them right, they will deliver you the world!  I own and operate Back Heart Island.

I Come From One Of The Most Revered Names In All The Realm. I rear from a line of superior breeding. I am beautiful and flawless. The blood of Moonwind flows through my veins.  My father is a very powerful mage who ensures that I get anything that I want.  If someone dares to challenge my disposition or break my trust, they will pay most dearly. Just ask my last beau, he tried to trade me in for a commoner named Shadowsage, and it nearly cost him his life. But fate has a curious way of righting wrongs, and it so happened that I fell upon one noble Lord-Duke Quellian Dawnblade. He assured me that I would be spared the court and any personal humiliation. He was right!- And would you believe it?  That he actually knew my father! What a coincidence, or was it?  A small matter, but  I am now Lady Dawnblade.

I have known love and been betrayed by love. *My Family's heritage is as deeply rooted as the trees. Ever since my earliest years, I have been made aware of the great plight and sacrifice that my family had to contend with during the era that they call' The Great Escape' from a tyrannous king on the isle of Aelarus. That was twenty-five hundred years ago, and it was the eyes of my great-grandfather, Lord Aurelius Rainwood-who witnessed the turmoil. I can not begin to imagine the extent of that era of desperation and fear.  I am the eldest daughter of Lord Keaten Rainwood. And my father instilled in me the importance of power and the discipline of self-control.  As a child, for several years, I  was reared in the Magus Academy of the Burning Lotus until I could master the incantations and asperations that came with them, so softly that lips would not so much as tremble. When  I graduated from the youthful academy, I returned home to discover my half blood sister Astilynn residing with us. I was not allowed to know how or why, only to suffice that she was there. I won't lie, growing up with her was quite turbulent. I learned to love her, and I learned to hate her, but I was never certain which one I was more loyal to my feelings.  As I grew, I would spend more time in the great (elven) capital city of Shyla'nora to continue with my studies, and it was there that I met my first love, a master mage named  Lorthriel in whom I was quickly smitten.  After a season of courting, we were soon married in a secret ceremony that was not documented in the registry.  And together we had two children, a daughter named Adelle and a son named Llorthien.  The birth of our children was the height of our affair. Lorthriel started to become distant as his love for power increased, and I began to decrease.  A beckon from my father drew me back home, and we were faced with a whirlwind of dramatic events stemming from the noble house of Moonwind.

*Born into a meager life, the daughter of a seamstress and reared by my stepfather, David Greer Vonghal. I never gave much thought to how poor my family must have been until the day my step-cousin Syvbar Vonghal came to live with us shortly after the mysterious death of her mother.  Byron was a young, handsome man, so heartbroken by grief that he surrendered his daughter to our family so that she would have a mother to help her learn more about becoming a fine young lady. Byron had a trust fund set up for Syvbar that propelled her through junior academy. It was a private school with steep tuition. It's something that Syvbar could easily afford, but it left my father struggling- juggling three jobs to have me attend the school so that she would not have to be alone. Having lost my parents soon after my graduation from 'Primal Light' school, I took a job at a local pub in the capital city and soon after got involved in an unhealthy relationship with an upcoming dark mage  E'tas Gallow. I thought he was the one, and I thought he truly loved me, we had a son...Leo. But our small family was not something E'tas wanted to cling to, leaving me clueless until the day he disappeared. Then, alone and a single mother, I fell into another false relationship -the addicting kind- in the form of Red Wood Ale. I was a barmaid and an escort for the tavern, supporting myself and Leo while living in one of several inns. But then, to my surprise, one day, my step-uncle Byron Vonghal passed through and happened to find me there. He never took me up for an escort; he respected me too much for that, but he shared his compassion for getting me out of that lifestyle. However,  I did not know what to think, and I pondered just how everyone would act if I were seen courting such an older man. What would Syvbar think about my dating her estranged father? *I am not one to boast, for I am just a simple man made a widower too early. Left as a single father of one- my beautiful daughter, Syvbar. I did what any man in his right mind would do and surrendered her to my brother's house, where she would have the proper influences from a mother figure and grow in the swelling stature of a young, promising woman. Before my late wife's passing, Syvbar's mother made an investment that paid off and granted a sum of surplus that would help take care of our daughter by granting her a thorough education. With her settled into a stable home, I would move on to best face off my sorrow and loss and obtain a more stable foundation. Having traveled back to the island of MarLee to determine just what it was that had happened to my late wife, I was captured by a troll hunting party. They were indigenous to the land and took me as a prized catch. I do not speak Troll, and so I never knew their intentions for me. But I was not abused; my needs were met, food, drink, and pleasures. A troll girl named Shaukri.  I was their captive for nearly a year before being sold to a mage-pirate. Perhaps in such a timely manner as not to witness the birth of the half-bred child. Perhaps it was their intention all along.  I was an indentured servant for three years to one human captain named Verald Bonglash, he who taught a few novice spells that could tide the warrent of danger in my favor.   ((WIP--CONT))
